Applied Behavioral Analysis

Our Assessment and Treatment for Autistic Behaviors (ATAB) program is a research-based behavioral health treatment service that assess and treat autistic behavior in children, adolescents, and adults. This Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) program is designed to prevent and or minimize developmental and behavioral challenges associated with Asperger’s and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) while promoting viable adaptive functioning of the individual. This program demonstrates clinical efficacy in treating ASD by use of evidence-based applied behavioral analytic interventions to prevent and reduce the challenging effects of ASD and promote healthy attainable and sustainable functioning of the individual.

Our program is specifically designed to serve individuals who have been diagnosed with Asperger’s or ASD. Program components include highly structured, individualized instruction, adaptive behavioral assessing, and treatment planning, antecedent based interventions, visual supports, behavioral reinforcement and extinction, self-management, intensive communication and language exercises, social skills training, utilization of natural environments and technology for learning, positive behavioral conditioning, educationally based sensory activities, as appropriate, parent implemented interventions, and inclusion with mainstream peers and activities when suitable. Related services including speech/language, occupational therapy, and adaptive physical education are also provided or coordinated with contracted providers based on individual need. To ensure program fidelity, ongoing observation and direction is provided by licensed professionals to inform on needed method modifications to support the accomplishment of treatment outcomes.

Program Design

The ATAB program is specifically designed to serve individuals who have been diagnosed with ASD. 

Program components include:

ATAB Treatment Team

Each individual who is admitted into the ATAB program has an “ATAB Treatment Team”. The team consists of the legal guardian, ATAB professionals, and other individuals that the individual and/or individuals legal guardian would like to include on the team. Usually individuals include daycare providers, teachers, occupational/speech therapists, and/or medical providers. It is up to discretion of the individual’s legal guardian if additional members are or are not permitted to join the individuals ATAB Team. If the legal guardian request to add additional members. The assigned Behavior Technician must obtain a release of information from the legal guardian permitting the individual to participate in the individual’s treatment as an ATAB team member.

Team Members

  • Parent/Caregiver/Guardian
  • Licensed Qualified Autism Service Provider (LQASP)
  • Fully licensed clinician with Autism specific training
  • Certified Qualified Autism Provider (C-QP)
  • Provisionally licensed clinician with Autism specific training or an individual with BCBA certification
  • Paraprofessional ( A team may have a C-QP or paraprofessional or both)
  • Daycare Provider, Teachers, Occupational/Speech Therapists ( if applicable)

 

Team Member Training

All employees of the ATAB program must complete the AFIRM and 40hr RBT Training. All trainings are conducted electronically and must be completed at the company’s office. Trainings are to be conducted simultaneously to allow the employees to implement learned practices and to become accustomed to the program.

 ATAB Stations

ATAB program consists of 7 stations to assist with disabilities and behavioral challenges associated with Autism Spectrum Disorder.ATAB team members utilize the stations to implement ATAB evidenced based practices (EBPs), reinforce desired behavioral outcomes, and implement efficient treatment. EBPs are interventions that have been proven by evidence to be effective in improving treatment outcomes.  EBPs are listed on the individual’s treatment plan as the interventions utilized in the individual’s treatment.

Parent Training: Parent training within the ATAB program is centered on teaching the parent about ASD and how the disorder presents within their child. This component also focuses on teaching parents how to implement EBPs within the home as well as implement appropriate discipline methods.
