Problematic Sexual Behavior (PSB) are known as behaviors of deviance. PSB is often thought to be the precursor to sexual offending and often results in sexual offending. It is common for a sexual offender to display PSB however, individuals who display PSB may not be actual sex offenders. The label of sex offenders is given to individuals who have been legally adjudicated of sexual offense. Such distinction is significant, as it is a determinant in identifying the appropriate course of treatment.
Our PSB program consist of psychoeducation, identifying static and dynamic risk factors of offending, relapse prevention, emotional and behavioral regulation, and accountability. These programs are designed, individualized, and tailored to the adult, child, and adolescent population. Our programs are suited for individuals of all genders, ethnicities, and individuals with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities. We utilize various treatment modalities and follow a foundational cognitive-behavioral approach based upon the Sex Offender Containment Model, a comprehensive approach to sex offender management, including the expertise of all the agencies, associates and professionals involved in the individuals treatment.
